The National Training and Education Center for Researchers Development – Indonesian Institute of Sciences (Pusbindiklat Peneliti – LIPI) is a unit of echelon II based on Decree of the Head of LIPI No. 3212/M/2004 which hold LIPI function as Trustees of National Researchers and responsible for the quality standards of researchers training and education. Those relevant quality standards include: functional training for researcher, supporting technical training, as well as development of researcher functional position and its services.

Duties of the National Training and Education Center for Researchers Development – Indonesian Institute of Sciences (Pusbindiklat Peneliti – LIPI), are:

  1. Implementing personnel (human resources), finance, correspondence, supplies, household, order and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure;
  2. Implementing programs organization, curriculum, materials, assessment and evaluation of development and training and education;
  3. Conduct coordination and implementing functional training and education for Center and Regional researchers, also technical and official training and education for personnel of LIPI;
  4. Conduct materials preparation of credit number assessment and credit number determination, as well as accreditation, counseling and information on functional position of Center and Regional researchers.

To support high performance of the duties, the programs of the National Training and Education Center for Researchers Development – Indonesian Institute of Sciences (Pusbindiklat Peneliti – LIPI), conducted by:

  3. Division of Education and Training Management;

Mission of the National Training and Education Center for Researchers Development – Indonesian Institute of Sciences (Pusbindiklat Peneliti – LIPI), are:

  1. Building and developing researchers functional position to be able to respond the challenges of development and able to be a reference for other functional position;
  2. Establishing partnerships and cooperation among departmental agencies and international, national and local institutions to meet equal perception about research and it’s development;
  3. Establishing the climate, facilities, infrastructure, and institutional research and development (R & D) structure to gain productive, innovative, creative, effective and efficient performance;
  4. Creating ethical and strong character researchers society;
  5. Providing of national standard researchers regulations;
  6. Implementation of excellent and prime education and training organization;
  7. Realization of technical trainings for researchers.
